Ok, so I decided to start a blog in order to help myself - and perhaps others - on journey to weight gain.
Yes, You read right. WEIGHT GAIN.
Long story short - I always have been very thin. I'm small (161 cm, or 5ft 3inch), and always was a small child. Then I started to grow up, and gained weight in the process. A normal, healthy girl I was. But eventually my weight dropped tremendously - from 52 kg to 48, 47 and eventually, 44 kilos. I was tested thoroughly for thyroid issues but everything is fine. During that time I found out that I don't feel hunger, nor do I feel the urgent need to drink to the point that I was dehydrated and dizzy - all probably stress-related (medical student here). I also broke out in acne. Struggling to find any health problems I made numerous blood tests, only to find I'm fine.
Currently I'm 21yo and too small to fit size 34 which is some kind of sick joke. Clothes lay on me like on some kind of skeleton. My ribs are easily seen not only on sides of my chest, but also on decolette.
I'm really tired after small amount of work and exercise, and getting strong headaches from hypoglycaemia because of forgetting to eat. BMI calculator said I might be at risk of internal organs not working properly because of me being underweight.
So here I am. Struggling mentally and physically to gain few kilos, better looks, energy and health.
I hope anyone who has the same problem will find comfort and help, perhaps few practical tips as well ;)
Hang on!
Disclaimer: I am NOT bulimic nor anorexic - merely underweight (and probably malnourished). But I strongly encourage anyone with these disorders to get professional help from doctors and psychologists. Remember - it is not YOUR fault. And yes, you CAN feel good in your body, and regain control of your life.
